You may not need to name your components if you are using MVVM. Awesome tutorial, though. Very, very well done.
Loxa Codito (3 years ago)
How would I go about doing this while abiding the MVVM design pattern? Say, if I have a ViewModel, what should I do in order to add a control to the main window when the button is clicked? Additionally, how would I display a collection of such UserControl items programmaticaly? (again, with MVVM in mind). Thank you!

Thank you. Exactly what I scrolled to the comments to say myself. The presenter should realize nobody is here looking for information about user controls if they don't know why they're valuable in the first place.
Thomas N. Eaves (3 years ago)
+Ratel 2 Actually, I thought the introduction was very well done and helpful -- as a new comer.

Hi, i'm searching for the information about the lifecycle of WPF's user control. Do you know anything about it? Thank you~
Vikas Bansal (4 years ago)
how to add it directly from XAML?
Isaac Newton (3 years ago)
+WhyThisTutorialNow Thanks and great video!
WhyThisTutorialNow (4 years ago)
For adding directly to XAML, create a namespace reference in the window element. Using the <namespace:usercontrolname /> tag you can add the user control directly to the xaml itself.

usage of word "faaantastic" is wrong

This guy is too annoying... unless you are an EXCELLENT teacher, don't record videos.   Leave it to the professionals.

HEY!!! I like your communication skills. The tone of the voice is way better. I dont know if you're an Indian but i would say your voice is better than any Indian tutors here like Kudvenkat. I hope you create a tutorial about wpf with three tier architechture... C# or C++ would be better... #Subscribed

Hello! Can you help me with my control? I have user controls on Canvas with boolean "IsSelected" property, and I want to set this propety false when I click outside that control. Now I check every controlls on Canvas and set that property to false manually. Is there any better solution in WPF?
Michael Adjeisah (4 years ago)

Thanks.  This is the first video I'm seen that presented what a user control is. Next, I presume that along with loading the UserControl visual, that the code-behind is loaded and runs as well?

Thank you so much for these tutorials. I have been developing some applications in C# but never touched WPF and XAML before, so these tutorials are great and very easy to follow. Subscribed for more!
